I worked with the developers, sale team, logistics officers and marketers.
My role as the logistics coordinator:
I ensured carrier compliance with company policy for product delivery.
I ensured all pos and other smart devices are checked one after the other then I send report to senior managers as they requested.
I arranged inbound and outbound shipments with trucks.
I managed the warehousing and storage practices for the entire company.
I conduct monthly inventories of warehouse stock to ensure it corresponds with records from sales team.
I identified some bottle necks in the supply chain process that has been causing delay in delivery time. I revised the minimum stock level to help us know when to place orders from China and the right quantity needed following the demand at hand and possible demand from smes using our pos devices.
As the logistics coordinator I faced was cutting down transportation and maintaining our company fleet. So when I plan, I make budgets ahead with some allowances for variable overhead cost.

I was first employed as a logistics office so with time the owner have to give me other management responsibility to me.
I monitored the inventory of our feeds, feeders, and other poultry materials and how they are used. When inventory gets to minimum level I place order and ensure we received our order just in time.
Setting up budget for activities related to logistics and ensuring our operations are in agreement with budget parameters.
Monitored the health and safety measures to ensure healthy environment for both workers, raw materials and livestock.
Coordinating and monitoring the storage, transportation and delivery of finished products.
For our products i.e point to sale catfish and chicken;
We kept revising the supply chain process relating to our goods as they are livestock.
I handled the logistics all our finished goods which means I take accountability for all actions conducted throughout the chain to safeguard the well being of our livestock so our buyers will have quality goods to market.
I ensured we don't stock more than our capacity so we are not forced to sell at the wrong time or to the wrong buyers.
I confirmed the total number of available products, their sizes and conditions before contacting buyers or fulfilling their orders.
We tried to package the product(livestock) with best practices so their health wont face any challenge before and after deliverd to our marketers.
I took into consideration the transportation routes used to help meet up our delivery times and also ensure the safety of the livestock.
The major challenge I faced was record keeping we did more of paper work and it led information being loss or tempered, and to be frank it wasnt easy to manage but we worked around it.
